Thank you for giving us your time Hannah,

Could you get our readers a quick introduction about yourself?

I have always loved travelling! For me the trip always starts as soon as I get to the airport, I’m a bit of an aviation geek so I love seeing all the planes!

I always wanted to see the world and try new things and I love an adventure!

My most recent trip took me to Dubai, India, Thailand (where I worked as a teacher in a primary school! – Fantastic experience!!), Malaysia and Myanmar! I was away for just under a year.

Where are you in the world currently?

I’m currently in my home country, England, living in a little town in Lancashire. It’s a lovely little town close to the seaside and it’s home to some of my closest friends and family. My home is a place I always see myself returning too!

Where do you plan to get to this year?

I’m planning a trip to Rome with some of my closest friends. Then at the end of the year I’m planning a trip to Australia to see some of my other friends for Christmas and New Year!!

What has been your all time favorite place?

This one’s a hard one!!!!

I’ve loved most places I’ve been! But I guess I have made the most memories in Thailand as I lived and worked there for 8 months! It’s such a beautiful country with so much to offer! Plenty of culture, tasty food and gorgeous beaches!

Could you share us your all time favorite photo you have taken travelling?

This photo I took in Agra, India, of the Taj Mahal is my all time favourite photo.

I have no words to describe how happy I was the day I finally got to visit this beautiful place!

What is your top backpacking tip?

Try not to plan every part of your trip in too much detail. You’ll find that you meet people along the way and you’ll want to make plans with them!

Also, expect some plans to go completely wrong! When they do, don’t stress, just do something else or go to plan B!

Which thing should every backpacker carry with them?

– Saying mobile phones isn’t allowed, be creative 😉

Toilet paper (I’m sure I don’t need to explain!)

Also, a miniature sewing kit to keep your clothes looking a little bit tidier for longer! 🙂

Do you have any words of advice or inspiration for anyone undecided about travelling?

If travelling is something you really want to do, just do it! Don’t let anybody tell you that you’re making a mistake and don’t let your nerves get the better of you!

You’ll meet lovely people everywhere you go; you’ll find that there’s always someone to help; you’ll have a fantastic opportunity to see some beautiful places; you’ll make friends for life and in general you’ll have a fantastic time!!!

Just make sure you always keep your wits about you and you’ll be fine.

What has been your favorite food whilst away?

I absolutely love food! So I’m not fussy about what I eat and I’ll try everything once … including a scorpion …

But in Thailand they had these super delicious giant steamed dumplings! They were at every market we went to in the North of Thailand and they were so cheap!

What has been your favorite activity whilst away?

Though I never thought I’d say this, the best thing I did whilst I was away was teach English as a foreign language in Thailand.

I was fortunate to work with some of the sweetest and funniest children ever! It’s easily the best job I’ve ever had! They even taught me a bit of Thai!
